• Obstruction of justice between 8 p.m. on Sept. 15 and 12:17 a.m. on Sept. 16 at Founders Memorial Library. Library security identified a person who had a warrant for his arrest. Police say the person was known to frequent the library. When asked to identify himself, the person gave his real name but a false birth date to police. However he was identified as the subject of the warrant. Arrested was Kameel D. Simmons, 22, of Bellwood, Ill. Simmons had failed to appear in court on an aggravated sexual assault charge, prompting the arrest warrant. He is also charged with obstruction of justice. He was transported to DeKalb County Jail.
