The Golden Flashes of Kent State pulled ahead of Northern Illinois with a 10-6 victory in the second round of the MAC baseball tournament.

A run in the fifth inning proved to be the game winner, as the Flashes added three more insurance runs.

NIU will face Ball State again on Friday at 11:30 a.m. with the winner to face Kent State later on Friday.

The Huskies must beat Kent State twice after a potential victory over Ball State in order to reach the championship series.
