Track of the Day: ‘Round and Round’
April 17, 2008
‘Round and Round’ – Ratt
From the album, ‘Out of the Cellar’ (1984)
It’s finally warming up and you know what that means … grilling, baseball and the return of large arena concerts!
OK, I know the heyday of arena concerts are over, but when listening to “Round and Round” by Ratt, I can only imagine. I can only think of what rocking out with a crowd of over 20,000 fans must have been like. Oh, why was I only born in 1985?
What a sight it must have been to see a Ratt concert. The hair, the makeup, the tight-fitting pants – you would swear all the dudes were dudettes.
But it doesn’t matter what you look like to enjoy this song. Grunge, emo, hip-hop or even punk, all can enjoy the heavy power chords, aggressive guitar solos and dominating vocals.
Everyone can let their hair down for four minutes and bang their heads up and down to the sick beat of this hair metal masterpiece.
