It seems as if many people are annoyed with university police after 02-14-08. I must say that my one and only experience with them, was a very positive one. I was at Lincoln residence halls, until 3 or 4 A.M., my cell phone was not working, and I needed to call Late Night Ride, for a ride home, I asked the officer who was at the doors if I could use the phone in the lobby, he told me it did not work, and used his cell phone to call Late Night Ride for me. I understand that his job was to check I.D.s and only to check I.D.s, however he took the time to help me get a ride home. Which was not something he had to do. I did not have the chance to thank him that night, hopefully he will read this, and I will say it now. Thank you.
