‘WHAT IS FEMINISM’
The Heritage Room of the Holmes Student Center will host “What is feminism, anyway?” today at 11 a.m.
Diana Swanson, associate professor of women’s studies and English, will present information that will “challenge stereotypes and misunderstandings about the nature and definition of feminism,” according to a press release.
The event is sponsored by the Women’s Studies and LGBT Studies programs and is part of Women’s History Month.

WOMEN’S SELF-DEFENSE COURSE
A self-defense workshop will take place at 4:30 p.m. today in Anderson Hall, Room 102.
Lesley Rigg, associate professor of geography, will offer instruction on women’s self-defense. Rigg has a black belt in karate.
The event is sponsored by the Women’s Studies Program and is part of Women’s History Month.

SUPPORT NIU CERAMICS
A ceramics demonstration will take place at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday.
Two NIU ceramics students, Fu-Chi Shih and Kevin Foy, will present their creations in Still Hall, Room 103. The event is free, but space is limited.
It is expected to last no longer than a half-hour.

STUDENT CREATED MEALS
Students in FCNS 320: Quantity Food Production, are in Ellington’s, on the main floor in the Holmes Student Center, every Tuesday, Wednesday and
Thursday to plan, prepare and serve meals.
All are welcome for lunch, open from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost is $8.
