“Developing Positive Relationships, Freeing the Human Spirit,” a discussion and lecture put on by B.R.O.T.H.E.R.S., S.I.S.T.E.R.S. and Sigma Gamma Rho, will take place at 7 p.m. today in the Stevenson Towers North Smart Classroom.

The event celebrates contributions and experiences of African people in their struggle for liberation and family unity.

The third installment of the “DreamWorlds” series will be at 9 p.m. today in Stevenson Hall, New Orleans Room.

NIU communication professor Kate Cady will facilitate the discussion on the video, which explores sex, desire and power in today’s music videos.

The event is co-sponsored by the communication department and Women’s Studies.

There will be an information meeting for the 16th annual Media and Culture in Ireland Program at 4 p.m. Wednesday in Reavis Hall, Room 211. Any interested students or staff members are invited to attend.

The program will run from June 22 to July 18 and individuals will study at the University of Dublin, Trinity College.

Credit is available for undergraduate and graduate students in communication, English and history.

Students interested in running for a position on the Campus Activies Board or the Student Association are required to attend one of two informational meetings, with the last one at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Campus Life Building, Room 150.
