Virginia Tech in DeKalb to help NIU
Campus Crusade for Christ will host a night of “hope and healing” for the NIU community Thursday.
Members of the Virginia Tech community will be on hand to share their experiences from last year’s shooting at Virgina Tech as well as try and help NIU. The event will start at 7:30 p.m. in the Holmes Student Center, Capitol Room.
The first 90 minutes will deal with finding healing through the community, with “Finding Hope through Faith” beginning at 9 p.m.
An additional event will take place at 9 p.m. Thursday, March 6, in Wirtz Hall, Room 100, in which 10 Virginia Tech students will come to DeKalb on their Spring Break for another night of reflection.

Red Cross offers classes Saturday
The DeKalb County American Red Cross will host first aid and CPR/AED classes starting at 8:30 a.m. Saturday. The First Aid class will go until noon, with a CPR/AED class at 12:30 p.m.
It will cost $45 per class or $75 when registering for both.
