The Arrivals prepare listeners for a ‘Zombie Raid’

“Zombie Raid” – The Arrivals

Now that it’s the weekend before Halloween, prepare for a “Zombie Raid.”

If you’re at all able to find the elusive track by Chicago punk rockers The Arrivals, then prepare for the living dead. “Zombie Raid” isn’t one of those politically charged punk ballads you need an ideology to enjoy. This song and this band are all about rock ‘n’ roll and no filler.

That’s an important quality when you might find yourself running from a pack of hungry flesh eaters over Halloween. I know it hasn’t happened since the holiday was invented, but Hallmark and candy companies have tempted fate long enough.

You may end up being “a hero for the night” with only “twenty-five cents to save the world.”

Before you go out to all those Halloween parties over the weekend, before you take candy from strangers and especially before you cut through the back alleys of DeKalb, go through a little motivational listening.

You may have to fight your way through a mob of living dead and find “the glory” in a “Zombie Raid.”
