As the spring semester winds down, the summer semester is approaching, which makes it a good time to apply for financial aid.

For last year’s summer semester, more than 2000 students applied for financial aid, officials said.

“Students have until a week before the end of the summer semester to apply for financial aid,” said Diane Dombek, assistant director of Financial Aid.

For students to be eligible for financial aid, they must have filled out the FAFSA form that was due last month.

“Also, students must fill out a summer application that must be completed and submitted to the financial aid office,” Dombek said.

Since the summer semester is considered a part of the current school year, the amount of aid that students will receive will depend on how much they received for the 06/07 school year.
