Wasps believed to have entered Reavis and Watson halls
August 7, 2006
Construction on windows in Reavis and Watson halls caused minor problems last week.
The third floor of Reavis was quarantined due to insect problems. Wasps were believed to have entered through open windows and had built nests on the third floor. NIU Lieutenant Matthew Kiederlen said police sealed off the area and called exterminators in to remove the pests.
Several faculty also complained their computers had been tampered with over the weekend in Watson Hall, but nothing was reported stolen.
“If anything, it was criminal trespassing,” Kiederlen said.
