Board of Trustees approves increases; Peters announces summer hours

A fee increase was approved by the Board of Trustees yesterday, which included room and board and student health insurance.

President John Peters confirmed that legislation to increase state higher education funding is still on track and is scheduled to be approved for the 2007 fiscal year, said Melanie Magara, assistant vice president of Public Affairs. The proposed 1.2 percent increase in budget would go toward an increase in faculty and staff salary, said Magara. Peters also announced the summer semester will again have four-day weeks, Magara said.
