African Student Assoc. meeting

Planning for several ASA events, including the Culture Festival, a ceremony dedicated to educating the public about the African culture through plays, skits, music and dance.
Graduating members were encouraged to request an ASA inscribed Kente cloth to wear to the ceremony.
The project committee put together a new event for ASA members entitled, “Miss ASA” in which the first place winner will be fully funded by the club to run for the “Miss Black NIU” ceremony.
The Center for Access-Ability Resources was recommended for students who are having difficulties finishing exams on time.
Several members announced the finalization of the NIU chapter of Life AIDS, a group committed to educating the public on the disease.
