The Northern Star won fifth place for Best of Show in the “Newspaper four-year daily tabloid” category at the National College Media Convention held in Kansas City, Mo. Oct. 26-30.

The Star’s online radio station, NS*Radio, also won first place for the “Online newspapers’ other online presentation” category.

The Chronicle of Duke University in Durham, N.C. won first place for Best of Show, while The Daily Evergreen of Washington State University in Pullman, Wash. came in second. The Arizona Daily Wildcat of the University of Arizona in Tucson, Ariz. was third and The Daily Egyptian of Southern Illinois University in Carbondale was fourth.
