Welcome back as we gather for what is destined to be a great year at NIU.

As the Campus Activities Board president, it is my obligation to let you know what events and activities are happening every night of the week at NIU.

This year, CAB has implemented several new and exciting programs to help you find events, and to help organizations plan and promote their events.

As part of our new mission we are here to collaborate with organizations, not compete for programming.

While we do have some major programs lined up for the fall, we are focusing on helping all of the campus organizations promote events. My staff is always willing to help in whatever fashion it can.

As part of our plan, we are also revamping our Web site to better assist our peers in selecting events to attend.

With our dynamic and friendly calendar you can plan your entire week without leaving your room.

If you are a promoter, you can also submit event information and we can add it to our printed calendars, which are delivered on the 27 of every month, and place it on our Web site.

If you are an organization planning an event, then CAB is also here to help. We are here to help you plan, produce and promote your event.

From financial help to getting volunteers to help staff your event, we are covering all your needs. For full details on how CAB can best serve your organization, check out our Web site.

Attending events is not enough for some people.

Getting your hands dirty can be exhilarating.

With the benefits of meeting major artists and performers, new people, and making a difference for the community, joining a CAB committee may be for you.

With several programming committees to choose from, CAB is focusing on developing your experience and commitment as a student to NIU.
