Ticket sales for the Convocation Center’s weekend events are 50 percent or more sold out, but limited seats are still available for both the Brooks & Dunn and MercyMe concerts.

There are less than 200 seats left for the Brooks & Dunn concert, which is at 7 p.m. Saturday. MercyMe, playing at 7 p.m. Sunday, has sold out half the house.

The remaining Brooks & Dunn tickets cost $52.25 and are mostly in the upper bowl area, with some availability scattered throughout the arena. MercyMe tickets within the $21.50 to $76.50 price bracket are also still available.

Last year’s Brooks & Dunn concert sold out the day of the event, leaving no tickets available at the door.

Selover also said Christian shows also typically have a big walk-up crowd who buy their tickets at the door.

Tickets for both shows are available at the Convocation Center box office, www.ticketmaster.com, or the center’s Web site, www.convocenter.niu.edu.

“Most of the house is gone,” Selover said of the ticket sales for Brooks & Dunn. “I can’t promise there will be tickets available at showtime.”
