The Northern Star will sponsor a debate between DeKalb Mayor Greg Sparrow and challenger Frank Van Buer today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Holmes Student Center’s Capitol Room. Included in the debate will be speeches on each candidate’s approach to local growth, questions from the Northern Star editorial board, questions the candidates may ask each other and questions submitted by audience members.

The debate will be moderated by a member of the Star editorial board. Students and community members are encouraged to attend.
