The Game: The Documentary

By Lady C

G-Unit’s member, The Game, sets out to distinguish his solo talents on “The Documentary.”

Straight out of Compton, his style has a hard gangsta’ edge and confronts issues such as death that are relevant to many.

The radio has already begun its routine of playing “Higher” and his other released tracks.

At first, his identity may have been confusing because his sound is similar to 50 Cent’s.

To say that he has leverage on other new artists is true because Dr. Dre and 50 Cent produced the album.

The Game is, in fact, new to “the game,” with only two years of dealing with the business under his belt.

His album has a range of several issues – from rapping about where he is from, to the lost lives from gang violence and, on a lighter note, the excitement of his son and hope for his future.

Artists like Mary J. Blige, Busta Rhymes and 50 Cent spice up some of the hot tracks and help make this album.

One that doesn’t reflect how long he has been in the game.
