At least misbehaving fans show up for games
October 3, 2004
Bobby Wiemann’s letter printed Friday explained how Huskies fans are tarnishing the games by their actions. I think the bigger problem is the lack of fans period, being that this entire campus is a majority bandwagon fans (just like Cubs fans).
It is disturbing that we had a game nationally televised on ESPN2, and we could not sell out the stadium. I believe the figures stated we were 2,000 to 3,000 fans short of capacity. There’s no excuse for Huskies fans not to show up. It’s a free game that your student fees pay for and you get a chance to be on TV. What more do you want? As of right now, NIU can get a bowl bid if the team continues its MAC undefeated streak. I only hope you bandwagon fans don’t show for the Toledo game, so I can get better seats.
