Select offices move into Altgeld
September 13, 2004
The five-year wait is nearing an end.
Altgeld Hall welcomed inhabitants Monday, starting with President John Peters’ office on the third floor.
Dori Hooker, administrative assistant for Finance and Facilities, said that they have a four-day move-in plan for the hall.
Finance and Facilities, along with the provost’s office, will be moving into Altgeld’s second floor today.
The art museum, university council and university advancement are scheduled to move in Wednesday and the move might carry into Thursday, Hooker said.
The general public will not be allowed in the building during move-in week, but people should be allowed in by sometime next week, she said.
Rededication of Altgeld Hall by President John Peters is scheduled for Oct. 7.
