During this month, NIU will celebrate Asian American Heritage Month.

Lectures, career workshops and a fashion show are just a few of the planned activities. The first event is an open house from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Adams Hall’s Chandelier Room. The event is sponsored by the Asian American Alliance, the Presidential Task Force on Asian Americans and the Asian American Resources.

The open house is intended to celebrate the newly approved Asian American Undergraduate Certificate Program. The open house also will recognize the accomplishments of NIU’s Asian and Asian American students and faculty.
