PRSSA and NS*Radio to hold winter clothing drive

By Nick Swedberg

Christmas is a time for giving, and NS*Radio and the Public Relations Student Society of America are no exceptions to that spirit.

The two organizations are holding a winter-apparel drive that started Monday and will continue until Friday. This is PRSSA’s second year holding a clothing drive, but NS*Radio is joining for its first year.

“We both had that same desire to help out those in the community who are less fortunate,” said Scott Smith, program/music director for NS*Radio.

Last year, PRSSA collected only winter jackets, Smith said. This year, the two groups will collect a range of winter apparel, including barely-used coats, scarfs, mittens and gloves.

“We’d like the items to be in good condition,” Smith said.

All clothing will be donated to Hope Haven, 1145 Rushmoore Drive.

PRSSA President Jenny Sherman said there are four campus locations where all students and faculty can drop off clothing. Special arrangements for larger donations can be made by e-mailing [email protected].

Locations to donate clothing

• Reavis Hall, Room 107

• Watson Hall, Room 209

• Convocation Center, Room 209 (Sports Information office)

• Campus Life Building, Suite 130 (Northern Star/NS*Radio offices)

Note: The winter-apparel drive will last until Friday.
