People now have access to more than 30,000 hours of news broadcasts available on a free Web site.

Air Newsclip, a division of the Newsclip Communications Group, has declared an in-house search engine, which is available for free.

“Whoever has a need for current affairs, political news or anything news related, will have a need for this service in some point in time,” said Chris Hardiman, the production manager for Newsclip Communications Group.

The Web site, www.newsclip.com, stated that the search engine contains summaries of more than one year’s worth of television news on six Chicago channels: Channels 2, 5, 7, 9, 11 and 32.

Channel 10 and Hispanic channels 44 and 56 also are available, but on videotape only, according to the site.

The search engine data is available 24 hours a day on the site. Information is updated daily at 3 and 9:30 a.m. and at 1:30 p.m.

In addition to data available on the Web site, Air Newsclip holds a complete videotape file of all television news broadcasts from more than a year ago, according to the site.

The Newsclip Communications Group was founded in 1956 as Midwest Newsclip Inc.

The company specializes in delivering all communications services, both print and electronic, to public relations and research specialists in various fields such as commerce, industry and government.
