Auditions for Ludacris talent show to begin Monday

By Nick Swedberg

Marketing organization Wind Tunnel Entertainment is holding auditions for a talent show that will take place before the Oct. 18 Ludacris concert at the Convocation Center, 1525 W. Lincoln Highway.

The auditions will take place from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday at the Holmes Student Center’s Carl Sandburg Auditorium, said Ronnie Blanchard, co-CEO for Wind Tunnel Entertainment.

“We want it to be a really good show for students for Homecoming,” Blanchard said. He said they are looking for rap, dance and singing talents.

Only a few slots are available for opening acts, Blanchard said, so students need to call ahead to register.

Karega Harris, a senior sociology major, said the purpose of the audition is to look for NIU talent for what he called the biggest concert ever.

Harris said he wanted to make it a diverse event with all types of talent participating.
