Let it Be to change locations

Let it Be, one of DeKalb’s few women’s clothing retailers, is moving to a new location this fall.

The store has served as an anchor for women’s fashions and accessories at its present location, 854 West Lincoln Highway, for the past four years.

The new location will be in the Northland Plaza on Sycamore Road.

The store only has served as a women’s-only boutique for the past year, having provided some household decor and men’s items as well in the three years before.

Let it Be customer service representative Jessica Slack feels that the new location will bring even more business.

Part of the reason for the move is that the present location is somewhat hidden.

“Right now we’re sort of behind Downtown Discs; you can’t really see us unless you know we’re here,” Slack added.

The store currently employs eight service representatives, but may hire more once they move to their new location.

“We hope to be moved by Labor Day weekend, but we’re not for sure,” Slack said.

The store will change its name to L.I.B. Fashions when it moves.
