Two people were injured in an accident Tuesday night.

The accident occurred when a car slammed into the front of a house on East Meadow Trail, just off of Bethany Road.

A car crashed into the front of a house on East Meadow Trail, just off of Bethany Road, injuring two people Tuesday evening when the driver reportedly fell asleep at the wheel. The driver and passenger were taken to Kishwaukee Community Hospital.

According to the DeKalb Police Department, the driver reportedly fell asleep at the wheel while leaving the roadway around where Resource Parkway meets Bethany Road.

The driver and a 5-year-old passenger were transported to Kishwaukee Community Hospital after suffering head injuries.
