County COVID-19 cases rise to 458

DeKALB — The DeKalb County Health Department announced that the number of positive COVID-19 cases increased to 458 Thursday, according to the DeKalb County Health Department.
Among those who have tested positive for the coronavirus, 34 people younger than 19, 103 are in their 20s, 88 are in their 30s, 70 are in their 40s, 66 are in their 50s, 29 are in their 60s, 33 are in their 70s and 35 are 80 or older.
As of Thursday, eight people have died from the coronavirus in the county, according to the DCHD website.
Moreover, 179 people who tested positive for the coronavirus have fully recovered and 219 of those who tested positive are in the recovery period.
Three staff members from DeKalb County Rehab and Nursing Center, 2600 N. Annie Glidden Road, have tested positive for the coronavirus. At Pine Acres Rehab and Living Center, 1212 S. Second St., 19 staff members and 50 residents have tested positive; five Pine Acres residents have died from COVID-19.
