County COVID-19 cases rise to 494

DeKALB — The DeKalb County Health Department announced the number of positive COVID-19 cases increased to 494, as of 8:12 p.m. Friday.
Among those who have tested positive for the coronavirus, 38 people are younger than 19, 111 are in their 20s, 91 are in their 30s, 80 are in their 40s, 69 are in their 50s, 33 are in their 60s, 35 are in their 70s and 37 are 80 or older.
As of Friday, 15 people have died from the coronavirus in the county, according to the DCHD website.
Three staff members from DeKalb County Rehab and Nursing Center, 2600 N. Annie Glidden Road, have tested positive for the coronavirus. At Pine Acres Rehab and Living Center, 1212 S. Second St., 22 staff members and 52 residents have tested positive; as of today, 10 Pine Acres residents have died from COVID-19.
Two staff members from Bethany Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, 3298 Resource Parkway, have tested positive for COVID-19.
