Alderperson urges DeKalb residents to wear masks
July 28, 2020
DeKALB — Second Ward Alderperson Bill Finucane announced at Monday night’s City Council meeting that he’s been self-quarantining since he was in contact with a person who had COVID-19 symptoms two weeks ago.
Monday night’s meeting was Finucane’s first time out of quarantine in the past two weeks, he said.
“Even with all the protocols that are undergoing, it’s still spreading,” Finucane said. “Please protect yourself, protect others as much as you can; it’s very important. Use the hand sanitizer, wear your mask, wash your hands and keep your distance at a socially reasonable six to eight feet.”
Finucane didn’t disclose whether he’d been tested for the COVID-19 virus.
