DeKALB — The DeKalb County Health Department announced Friday the number of positive COVID-19 cases increased to 1,060.

Among those who’ve tested positive for the coronavirus, 125 are younger than 19, 280 are in their 20s, 174 are in their 30s, 141 are in their 40s, 134 are in their 50s, 79 are in their 60s, 59 are in their 70s, and 68 are 80 or older. 

As of Friday, 33 people have died from the coronavirus in the county, according to the DCHD. 

At Willow Crest Nursing Pavilion, 515 N. Main St., 21 staff members and 36 residents tested positive for COVID-19. As of Friday, 12 Willow Crest residents have died from COVID-19. 

Statewide, there are 215,929 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 7,857 recorded deaths as of 3:58 p.m. Friday, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health.
