DeKALB  –  Since restaurants have opened back up, Hometown Sports Bar and Grill has been making room for live entertainment again. The grill, 241 E. Lincoln Highway, is hosting live entertainment in their newest addition, Stage Left, located right next to the bar.

They’ve had five performers throughout the month of August, according to the Grill’s website. Their next act will be Heads Up, a dance band from Bolingbrook. They will start at 8 to 11 p.m. Saturday.

“Come out [and] bring a mask and enjoy some live entertainment. All the shows listed will be free shows,” according to the website.

Heads Up, composed of six members, typically covers country hits and 80s hits.

Along with live music, Hometown Bar was offering Karaoke night every week. However, they had to put an end to it after Pritzker’s latest update requiring bar and restaurant customers to wear face masks when they interact with employees.

“We will host Karaoke from time to time when we can,” the bar posted on Facebook Thursday.
