Student Government Association Senate meetings will be virtual this semester, Speaker of the Senate Brad Beyer announced in an Aug. 24 news release.

Meetings will take place Sundays on Microsoft Teams and the link to view the meeting will be available on the SGA Huskie Link; agendas will be posted Fridays.

Beyer said he chose to host meetings virtually to be consistent with other university shared governance bodies and to protect the health and safety of the community.

“We are making decisions that are compliant with university guidelines, but also making sure that the public health of our university and community is top priority,” Beyer said.

The first Senate meeting will be at 5 p.m. Sept. 13 via Microsoft Teams.
