DeKalb County COVID-19 cases rise to 1,237

DeKALB — The DeKalb County Health Department announced Friday the number of positive COVID-19 cases increased to 1,237.
Among those who’ve tested positive for the coronavirus, 164 are younger than 19, 356 are in their 20s, 189 are in their 30s, 156 are in their 40s, 149 are in their 50s, 85 are in their 60s, 66 are in their 70s and 72 are 80 or older.
As of Friday, 36 people have died from the coronavirus in the county, according to the DCHD.
At Willow Crest Nursing Pavilion, 515 N. Main St., 22 staff members and 37 residents tested positive for COVID-19. As of Friday, 13 Willow Crest residents have died from COVID-19.
At DeKalb County Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, 2600 N. Annie Glidden Road., two staff members and one resident have tested positive for COVID-19.
Statewide, there are 249,580 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 8,171 recorded deaths as of 8:47 p.m. Sunday, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health.
