DeKALB — NIU announced Tuesday one additional employee has tested positive for the coronavirus and six students have recovered, according to the Campus COVID-19 Dashboard.

The dashboard’s cumulative testing stats show a total of 282 Huskies have tested positive for COVID-19 and 201 have recovered.

As of Tuesday at 6:12 p.m., NIU is at 23.7% quarantine and isolation use. This is a 2.6% decrease from Monday.

Surveillance testing 

NIU administered 658 COVID-19 tests during the week of Sept. 21 for surveillance testing. The positivity rate was 5%, with 33 recorded positive results, according to surveillance testing data.

Surveillance testing data is updated on the dashboard website every Monday, or on a Tuesday if a holiday falls on a Monday.
