County COVID-19 cases rise to 2,327

DeKALB — The DeKalb County Health Department announced Friday the number of positive COVID-19 cases increased to 2,327.

Among those who’ve tested positive for the coronavirus, 392 are younger than 19, 661 are in their 20s, 322 are in their 30s, 318 are in their 40s, 276 are in their 50s, 152 are in their 60s,  104 are in their 70s and 102 are 80 or older.

As of Friday, 42 people have died from the coronavirus in the county, according to the DCHD.

At Willow Crest Nursing Pavilion, 515 N. Main St., 27 staff members and 41 residents tested positive for COVID-19. As of Friday, 15 Willow Crest residents have died from COVID-19.

At DeKalb County Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, 2600 N. Annie Glidden Road., 10 staff members and one resident have tested positive for COVID-19.

At Oak Crest-DeKalb Area Retirement Center, 2944 Greenwood Acres Drive, six staff members and six residents are COVID-19 positive. As of Friday, one Oak Crest resident has died from COVID-19.

At Prarie Crossing Living & Rehabilitation Center, 409 W. Comanche Ave., two staff members and one resident have tested positive for COVID-19.

At Bethany Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, 3298 Resource Parkway, two staff members and no residents have tested positive for COVID-19.

At Pine Acres Rehabilitation & Living Center, 1212 S. Second St., one staff member and one resident have tested positive for COVID-19.

Statewide, there are 364,033 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 9,418 recorded deaths as of 5:00 p.m. Friday, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health.
