7 more students test positive for COVID-19, 3 students recover

The DeKalb County Health Department announced 10 new COVID-19 cases Friday, bringing the total number to 8,662.

DeKALB — NIU announced Tuesday that seven additional students and no employees have tested positive for the coronavirus, and three students have recovered, according to the Campus COVID-19 Dashboard. As of Tuesday, 52 students and 12 employees are currently COVID-19 positive.
The dashboard’s cumulative testing statistics show a total of 462 Huskies that have tested positive for COVID-19, and 398 have recovered.
As of Tuesday at 3:20 p.m., NIU is at 14.1% quarantine and isolation use, the same as Monday.
