DeKALB — The NIU Residence Hall Association will be holding an online fall retreat at 1:30 p.m. Friday through this Zoom link that will inform participants of their leadership types, how to further build leadership skills and will also teach participants how to format a resume. 

In previous years, the RHA would take participants to a cabin to go camping then do leadership building activities to make it feel like a real retreat, public relations officer Sujuri Barrett said. 

“We want students to understand how they can become a leader on campus and be more involved on campus,” Barrett said. 

While the retreat will be virtual, the RHA is trying to make the event as fun as it would have been if it was in person, Barrett said. 

“If you want to have your voice heard and to make change on this campus, you should come to our event and learn how you can progress those learning tools to help people,” Barrett said.
