Four additional students test positive for COVID-19.

DeKALB — NIU announced Friday that seven additional students and two employees have tested positive for the coronavirus, and seven students have recovered, according to the Campus COVID-19 Dashboard. As of Thursday, 48 students and nine employees are currently COVID-19 positive.

The dashboard’s cumulative testing statistics show a total of 514 Huskies that have tested positive for COVID-19, and 457 have recovered.

As of  Friday at 3:00 p.m., NIU is at 5.5%  quarantine and isolation use, this is a 2.5% decrease from Thursday.

COVID-19 Screen Checklist

The NIU COVID-19 Helpline has been replaced by an online checklist. Students, faculty or staff who test positive, are exposed to or experience COVID-19 symptoms are required to complete the checklist. Additional guidance will be given via email upon completion of the checklist.
