- New Civics and the Impact of Globalization: The Center for Governmental Studies will host a virtual workshop that explores the ingredients and impact of globalization in our communities and region. - Ask Us Anything – Talk with NIU Career Services: Career Services will host a virtual conversation to address three areas of common career concerns and open the floor for student questions at 1 p.m. Contact Edward Heard at [email protected] for more information.
- Future Telling: Does the Future Compute?: NIU STEAM will host a virtual event at 6:30 p.m. with computer scientists across multiple disciplines from Argonne National Laboratory to see what’s new and what’s next in areas such as data visualization, cybersecurity and supercomputers. - Social Justice Town Hall: Religion and Oppression: The Office of Academic Diversity, Equity and Inclusion will host a virtual town hall at 11 a.m. to highlight how religious institutions have historically upheld systems of oppression.
