County cases rise to 7,469

DeKALB — The DeKalb County Health Department announced Friday the number of positive COVID-19 cases increased to 7,469.
Among those who’ve tested positive for the coronavirus, 1,220 are younger than 19, 1,756 are in their 20s, 1,123 are in their 30s, 1,055 are in their 40s, 962 are in their 50s, 642 are in their 60s, 371 are in their 70s and 340 are 80 or older.
As of Friday, 87 people have died from the coronavirus in the county, according to the DCHD.
At DeKalb County Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, 2600 N. Annie Glidden Road., 39 staff members and 25 residents have tested positive for COVID-19.
At Oak Crest-DeKalb Area Retirement Center, 2944 Greenwood Acres Drive, 27 staff members and 31 residents are COVID-19 positive. As of Friday, one Oak Crest resident has died from COVID-19.
At Prarie Crossing Living & Rehabilitation Center, 409 W. Comanche Ave., 34 staff members and 54 residents have tested positive for COVID-19. As of Friday, seven Prarie Crossing residents have died from COVID-19.
At Bethany Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, 3298 Resource Parkway, 46 staff members and 63 residents have tested positive for COVID-19. As of Friday, nine residents have died from COVID-19.
At Lincolnshire Place, 710 Villagio Drive, 17 staff members and 30 residents have tested positive for COVID-19. As of Friday, eight residents have died from COVID-19.
At Willow Crest Nursing Pavillon, 515 N. Main St., five staff members and three residents have tested positive for COVID-19.
At Pine Acres Rehab and Living Center, 1212 S. 2nd St., five staff members and five residents have tested positive for COVID-19.
Statewide, there are 1,059,324 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 18,049 recorded deaths as of 5:00 p.m. Friday, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health.
