Weekend to see heavy snowfall

The weekend of Jan. 29 will be snowy. Temperatures will increase near the middle of the weekend, but then fall back below freezing. Forecast data was provided by the National Weather Service.

Friday

Friday will be partly sunny and mostly cloudy with a high of 26 degrees. The low in the evening will be about 21 degrees. There will be a southeast wind with gusts up to 20 mph.

Saturday

Saturday will be breezy with heavy snow. There will also be a winter storm watch beginning Saturday. The high will be 32 degrees. The low will be 29 degrees. The chance of precipitation in the day will be 90%, in the evening it will be 100%. The snow accumulation will be between 6 and 10 inches.

Sunday

Sunday morning will have snow with a 90% chance of precipitation and a high of 32 degrees. Sunday evening will have a 50% chance of snow with a low of about 22 degrees.

Monday

Monday will be partly sunny and partly cloudy. The high will be about 28 degrees. The low in the evening will be near 11 degrees.
