February 4, 2021
DeKALB — The DeKalb County Community Foundation is taking applications for round four of COVID-19 Response Grants until Feb. 26 to support nonprofit and public sector service organizations.
“The DeKalb County COVID-19 Response Fund exists to expedite charitable resources to nonprofit and community organizations responding to COVID-19 related needs throughout DeKalb County,” according to the DeKalb County Community Foundation website. “Resources are granted where they are needed most, with an initial focus on the basic needs of those most significantly impacted by this crisis.”
The grants help with recovery efforts for the non-profits that were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Organizations that received a grant during phase three include Children’s Home & Aid, Equine Dreams and Opportunity House, Inc.
Since April 2020, over $335,065 has been distributed due to donations towards the fund, according to DeKalb County Community Foundation.
The Community Foundation has been working closely with DeKalb County organizations and communities since 1993.
Organizations that are in need of the grant money can apply on the DeKalb County Community Fund website. For-profit organizations are not eligible to apply.
