DeKALB – Public officials have closed off  Mobil gas station, 930 N. Annie Glidden Road, due to safety concerns after a canopy started to bend due to the weight of the snow.

The DeKalb Fire Department is waiting on a repairman to arrive to fix the canopy, but Deputy Fire Chief Bart Gilmore said repairs will not be done for at least another several hours. 

“It’s very windy out, so if the canopy does collapse there is no guarantee about where it will collapse,” Gilmore said. “It’s best to just stay away from it.”
