DeKALB – Give DeKalb County 2021 is less than one month away. The annual event, which takes place this year on May 6, is a 24-hour giving day to support participating nonprofit organizations in DeKalb County. 

Over $3.7 million has been collected across seven giving days, according to the event’s Facebook page.

One group that will be participating is The Egyptian Theatre with “Lights, Cameras, Donate.” At the top of every hour on the day of the event, The Egyptian Theatre will be hosting a special guest on Facebook live in a series they are calling “Backstage at the Egyptian LIVE.” People interested in donating to the Egyptian Theatre can visit their giving page.

People that wish to view the participating nonprofits, as well as make donations, should visit the official Give DeKalb County website. Donations can be made here from midnight to midnight, May 6.

People can mail in donations as well. Simply fill out the donation form indicating the organization and amount, and write a check payable to “DCCF.” These can be mailed to DeKalb County Community Foundation, 475 DeKalb Avenue, Sycamore, IL 60178, and must be postmarked April 22- May 6.
