9 more students test positive for COVID-19, 8 students recover

DeKALB — NIU announced Friday that nine students and no employees have tested positive for the coronavirus, and eight students have recovered, according to the Campus COVID-19 Dashboard. As of Friday, 40 students and three employees are currently COVID-19 positive.
The dashboard’s cumulative testing statistics show a total of 875 Huskies that have tested positive for COVID-19, and 832 have recovered.
As of Friday at 3 p.m., NIU is at a 8% quarantine and isolation use, a 1.2% decrease from Thursday.
