DeKALB — NIU announced Monday that 13 additional students and no employees have tested positive for the coronavirus, and 15 students and one employee have recovered, according to the Campus COVID-19 Dashboard. As of Monday, 38 students and two employees are currently COVID-19 positive.

The dashboard’s cumulative testing statistics show a total of 888 Huskies that have tested positive for COVID-19, and 848 have recovered.

As of Monday at 3 p.m., NIU is at a 3.7% quarantine and isolation use, a 4.3% decrease from Friday.

Surveillance testing 

NIU administered 1,953 COVID-19 tests during the week of April 5 for surveillance testing. The positivity rate was 1.2%, with 23 recorded positive results, according to surveillance testing data.

Surveillance testing data is updated on the dashboard website every Monday, or on a Tuesday if a holiday falls on a Monday.
