NIU to celebrate National Voter Registration Day

NIU to host early voting at 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from Oct. 24- Nov. 3 in the Glass Gallery Lounge in the Holmes Student Center.

DeKALB — NIU plans to celebrate National Voter Registration Day on Sept. 28 with multiple registration sites on campus. 

National Voter Registration Day is a nonpartisan civic holiday to celebrate democracy. On this day, students can register to vote. Registration can also be completed online. The next general election is slated to be held on June 28, 2022. 

NIU will hold voter registration tables at the following locations: 

  • 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the OASIS space at the Holmes Student Center;
  • 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Center for Black Studies;
  • 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the DuSable Hall food court;
  • 1 to 5 p.m. in the MLK Commons;
  • 2 to 6 p.m. in Neptune Hall;
  • 2 to 6 p.m. in New Hall;
  • 5 to 8 p.m. in the Carl Sandburg Auditorium in the Holmes Student Center.
