DeKALB — NIU announced on Wednesday that one student and no employees have tested positive for COVID-19 and no students have recovered, according to the COVID-19 dashboard.

The dashboards cumulative statistics show that 143 students have tested positive for COVID-19 and 128 have recovered since the semester began on Aug. 19.

NIU administered 1,644 COVID tests since the week of Sept. 20 for surveillance testing. The positivity rate was 0.43% with seven positive test results, according to surveillance data Surveillance testing data is updated on the dashboard every Monday or on a Tuesday if the holiday falls on a Monday.
