DeKALB — The weather for the week of Oct. 18 will become colder, with temperatures dropping into the 50s later this week and there are some chances of showers and thunderstorms throughout the week. Forecast data is provided by the National Weather Service. 

Wednesday

There is a 20% chance of rain on Wednesday afternoon. Otherwise, it will be mostly sunny with a high near 72 degrees. South wind 10 to 15 mph. 

Wednesday night there is a 30% of thunderstorms before 10 p.m. It will be mostly cloudy with a low around 50 degrees. South wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. 

Thursday 

Thursday will be mostly cloudy with a high near 57 degrees. There will be a west southwest wind around 15 mph becoming north northwest in the afternoon; wind gusts could be as high as 20 mph. 

Thursday night will be mostly cloudy with a low around 39 degrees. Winds will become calm in the evening at 5 mph north northwest. 

Friday 

Friday will be partly sunny with a high near 56 degrees. Northwest winds 5 mph with gusts as high as 10 mph. 

Friday night will be partly cloudy with a high of 33 degrees. There will be patchy frost after 4 a.m. 

Saturday 

Saturday will be mostly sunny with a high near 56 degrees. There will be patchy frost before 8 a.m. 

Saturday night will be partly cloudy with a low around 38 degrees. There is a chance of showers after 1 a.m. 

Sunday 

Sunday will be mostly cloudy with a likely chance of showers with a high near 56 degrees. 

Showers are likely Sunday night especially before 1 a.m. It will be mostly cloudy with a low around 48 degrees.
