NIU’s scheduled baseball doubleheader against host Chicago State yesterday was postponed due to inclement weather.

The games will be made up on May 12.

Joe “Spanky” McFarland’s squad resumes action this weekend with two scheduled doubleheaders.

On Saturday, the Huskies (9-23, 3-5 in the Mid-Continent Conference) travel to Valparaiso for a twinbill with their Mid-Continent rival. The games were originally scheduled to be played at McKinzie Field, but the Crusaders came to town April 4 due to inclement weather in Valparaiso.

NIU returns to McKinzie Field Sunday for a noon doubleheader with Youngstown State.
