DeKALB – The Tails Humane Society’s Pet of the week is a 2-year-old mixed-breed dog that was found as a stray named Free. She is a very shy and sweet dog.

She can take a little while to be won over, but food usually does the trick. She loves to play with toys, hide the toys in her bed and to circle up under soft blankets according to her description on Tails’ website. Free did a good job caring for her own little pup and is now looking for her own new home.

Free can be pretty shy and scared so, she would prefer a quiet home. Free would do best in a home without younger kids and without a lot of visitors. Free would be very comfortable with another dog too, especially if that dog is a more social one.

If interested in adopting, Tails Humane Society, 2250 Barber Greene Road, is open for walk-ins from noon to 7 p.m. and noon to 5:30 p.m. on weekends.
